Well it’s been a long haul but we are finally in, with a little shoehorning still remaining. Thank you all for your help and support, we are already loving it here and feeling at home. Apologies for the endless trail of workers and whatever banging and buzzing noises they made along with any disruption in the car park. Thank you for the newsletter it was very informative. It would be useful to clarify under VoIP whether one has an automatic transfer of the existing phone number. On the community spirit question, does anything happen at the moment ? Are there any communal areas indoors apart from the reception area and laundry or perhaps something nearby that could be used? On issues to raise. Are there any plans to do something about external door/windows. They look fine but certainly in my apartment provide plenty of fresh air. I have removed generations of sticky draught excluder and am wondering what is next. There are companies that refurbish old draughty windows but I don’t want to get anything underway if there is something else in the pipeline. In any event I assume that premier would wish to approve any proposed work.

I note that our apartment does not have a fire extinguisher. Is there a recommended type and should it be registered on a list for check/renewal purposes?

Anyone know a reasonable painter and decorator who is available. The whole apartment could do with a makeover (Walls and Woodwork). We have made a start but it will take until next Christmas at this rate :-)

It’s Mike and Rita Christmas, we are in the process of moving into No5. It might take a while depending on how quickly our sale moves. In the meantime we are taking the opportunity to do as much of a makeover as possible. We are getting on a bit and I have a disability so it goes at the corresponding pace. In the coming weeks we shall be having the electrics updated and probably around Feb work will be carried out on the bathroom. We apologise in advance for any noise. We are already starting to feel at home and give thanks you to all of you who have stopped for a chat or given a friendly wave, it makes the whole experience so much better.
